Plasters consist of a pad attached to an adhesive backing. They are extremely useful to apply to small cuts and wounds to provide protection from further abrasion, infection and to help stop bleeding. They are sterile and are individually wrapped. They should not be used if the packaging is broken. Fabric plasters Fabric plasters have a woven flexible backing. These are usually more flexible than waterproof plasters and tend to stick better. Waterproof plasters Waterproof plasters will protect the wound from moisture. Our Europlast waterproof plasters use a low allergy adhesive, which makes them less likely to cause an allergic reaction. Blue plasters Blue plasters are available for catering use as they are easily visually detectable. They are usually electromagnetically and x-ray detectable as well. Plasters come in a variety of sizes and shapes please refer to our Plaster Size Indicator. |
